Lake County is fortunate to have a rich, diverse literary community of writers from all backgrounds and experience, genres and styles; from poetry to fiction, non-fiction to memoir. While COVID-19 has put an unfortunate hold on in-person gatherings and events, we aim to continue the momentum by offering and sharing virtual writing events.

The Virtual Writers’ Circle meets Zoom on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 6:30-8:30 pm PST. All writing genres and levels of experience are welcome. New writers encouraged. See the Writers’ Circle page for Zoom info.

Our current Lake County Poet Laureate Georgina Marie, also the Lake County Arts Council’s Literary Coordinator, hosts a variety of poetry offerings. Visit her website for more information:

You can also stay up to date on virtual poetry and writing events, share your work, etc. by joining the Lake County Poet Laureate Facebook group.
