Lake County has a rich, diverse literary community of writers from all backgrounds and experience, genres and styles; from poetry to fiction, non-fiction to memoir.
In June 2022, the traditional monthly Lakeport Writers’ Group returns with rotating literary hosts. Overseen by Lake County Poet Laureate 2018-2020 Richard Schmidt. 2nd Thursday of each month from 5-7 pm at the Main Street Gallery.
We also have our new weekly writing workshop with local author Jordan O’Halloran! Saturdays from 11 am to 1 pm at the Main Street Gallery. $10 per class.
