Introduction to Improvisation Class

Introduction to Improvisation Class

Event Details

Introduction to Improvisation will present the fundamentals of improv, including acceptance, spontaneity, and the simple steps to building scenes and characters.

This six-week course meets once a week, Tuesday at 6pm, at the Main St. Gallery, and culminates in a live, public performance.

John Tomlinson, Theatre Arts Instructor at Mendocino College, conducts the course. Enrollment is open to anyone interested, and all skill levels. The course uses exercises, drills, and games to learn how to interact with others, form a creative atmosphere, and sharpen the ability to quickly commit to choices. Improv presents an engaging and exhilarating style of performance.

Come get involved!

Meetings are Tuesdays, April 3 through May 8, from 6 to 8 pm, plus a weekend performance. The cost for the entire 6-week program is $50, or $10 per class on a drop-in basis. Contact John Tomlinson (
or (707) 355-2211) for more information.
