Art in Public Places offers both professional and non-professional artists an opportunity display and sell their art in various public buildings of Lake County.
This program is sponsored by the Lake County Arts Council's Main Street Gallery in Lakeport, California.
All artists are invited to submit their art to be displayed. Although not a requirement, artists are encouraged to become a member of LCAC.
Art work may include oils, acrylics, pastels, watercolors, photographs, colored pencil, pen & ink, and mixed media. Work can be original or prints of the artist's original work.
All art must be for sale.
All artists are required to complete a Registration and Hold Harmless Agreement for the Art in Public Places form.
The Committee reserves the right to approve or decline submitted art.
Work must be framed and prepared in a professional manner for hanging with screw-eyes and picture wire securely attached to the work. Saw-tooth or flimsy apparatus pieces will not be accepted.
Each piece of art submitted must have a card attached to it identifying the artists name, title, medium and price. Artwork shall be hung at the discretion of the committee. Artists are not allowed to remove their work during the exhibition without prior approval of the Committee. Telephone: (707) 263-6658.
